Keep fingers and dust off your model forever. Display cases are designed to protect and enhance your model's beauty and will add a “museum like” touch to your model presentation. Our cases are only made to order.
Custom built cases are our specialty!
Please contact us for a quote on a made-to-order display case. When requesting a quote for a custom build display case, please provide 1) the desired INTERIOR dimensions, allowing for "breathing room" space between the model and interior walls, 2) the display case type and 3) the wood stain/finish desired.
We offer three types of display cases
Wood Framed With Plexiglas (Acrylic) Sheet Display Case - Our Wood Framed with Plexiglas Display cases are shipped in a flat carton, and require a quick and easy assembly upon arrival. They fit together without screws and can be assembled in under 10 minutes. If you desire real glass panels, we suggest sourcing locally, when the case arrives using the Plexiglas as a template.
Acrylic Cover with Wood Baseboard - This has a clear Acrylic cover with a wood baseboard, with an over the baseboard fit. An optional groove cut is available ($30), which has grooves in the baseboard for the Acrylic cover to securely fit.
Acrylic Cover Only - This is a one piece clear Acrylic cover without a base. Typically the customer ordering the cover only either already has a baseboard to mount on, or simply wants an Acrylic cover for their intended display.
Display Case FAQ
What color is the wood base or frame? When a customer orders a model we typically use a cherry stain with a natural satin finish, so your model and it's baseboard can have a bit of a "pop" for the visual display. Other wood stain colors available are shown below. Our default is a satin topcoat finish, however a gloss finish is also available. Other Minwax stain colors are available upon request.
How do i mount my model inside the case? Typically our models are mounted on pedestals and a baseboard. You can simply put your model, as is, inside your display case. If you want to only have a pedestal mount for your model inside the case, you can remove the model from the pedestals and cut the appropriately located holes inside the display case base.
What is the build time for a display case or cover? Typically 4-5 weeks from ordering.
What size cases do you offer? Custom made cases are our specialty. Send us an email or call to discuss your specific need. We'll ask you to provide the desired interior dimensions to start and then discuss what type of case would best work for your situation.
Do you only make display cases for ship models? No, we have customers using our display cases for a wide variety of application - vehicle and aircraft models, train sets, collectable items of every sort.
Do you have lighting options for display cases? No. We have customers using a variety of external and internal light source, available locally or for sale on various websites.
How can I get a price for a display case? Please contact us for a quote. (email, quote form or phone call) When requesting a quote for a custom build display case, please provide 1) the desired INTERIOR dimensions, allowing for "breathing room" space between the model and interior walls, 2) the display case type and 3) the wood stain/finish desired.
We also offer Flight Cases (Heavy Duty Transportation Cases) - Moving your model around? A trade show perhaps? We also offer "Roadie Cases" - Heavy Duty Transportation Cases for transporting the model and display case to and from various locations.
